There are currently an estimated 5,000+ state-licensed medical marijuana growers operating across North America and with the industry’s projected growth, this number is expected to steadily increase, even more so as local governments pass ordinances and issue permits to generate much-needed revenue.

It would seem to be a simple equation: more state-licensed medical marijuana growers = the greater need for real estate. But it’s not that simple. Consider the fact that even though medical marijuana is legal in 28 states and Washington D.C., this natural resource is still a Schedule 1 substance in the eyes of the federal law. This sets up a web of laws and restrictions the average grower has to navigate in order to locate real estate they can use for growing and harvesting their crops. Working with a federally illegal substance imposes a myriad of other challenges and obstacles on growers, not the least of which is a lack of co-operation from banks and traditional real estate agencies and therefore, denial to capital access.

The outcome of all these limiting factors is that medical marijuana growers need to back up their budding enterprises with a huge capital investment (typically without assistance from banks) or close their doors. Fortunately, there’s a new company in the marketplace and it’s offering medical marijuana growers the financial breathing room they need to become established in this flourishing industry by providing real estate management and development services. This company, Fusion Properties Management Group (FPMG), with real estate expert Kendell Lang as the founder and CEO, is paving the way to success for many licensed growers.

About Fusion Properties Management Group

“FPMG is a real estate development and asset management company that is focused on facility development, ownership and management for government-licensed and city-permitted growers of medical marijuana,” says real estate professional, Kendell Lang. “Our business is modeled after the highly successful Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) formula in the life science industry and our main drive is to provide cost-effective capital to medical marijuana growers so they aren’t having to use their capital for real estate investments.”

According to Kendell Lang, some of the services offered by FPMG include the selection, planning, development and management of sites, property, assets, construction, facilities, equipment and energy systems, as well as arranging permits and sourcing and structuring finances.

“Essentially, FPMG finds our clients real estate, which is licensed for cultivation of medical marijuana, in their area. This is a huge obstacle out of the way. We can then either build turnkey growing facilities and warehouses for them, or perform any necessary upgrades to the existing buildings,” explains real estate expert, Kendell Lang.

“Another facet of our service is to purchase real estate from medical marijuana growers and then lease it back to them at highly affordable rates. This returns to them all the capital they previously had locked up in real estate, which they can then use more profitably to drive and expand their operation.”

These comprehensive real estate services are providing immense relief to medical marijuana growers who are already heavily burdened with challenges. The ability to source licensed real estate or sell existing property to gain access to capital is breathing life into the industry at a grassroots level. More than ever before, there is hope for the MMJ growers to be able to fund a successful operation. If you are a state-licensed medical marijuana cultivator or manufacturer, you’re encouraged to submit your project to real estate expert Kendell Lang for consideration.

Last year (2016), the cannabis industry was valued at US$6.7 billion and with an estimated annual growth rate of 25%, it’s no wonder more and more companies are eager to get on board with their own grow operations. But it’s here that they encounter a series of serious challenges, the most unavoidable, establishing and maintaining a medical marijuana grow facility which is enormously expensive.

Medical Marijuana Grow Facilities: Crippled By Lack Of Capital

Finding real estate that can legally be used for the cultivation of cannabis is one hurdle. Being able to afford that real estate and then build a facility that meets all state licensing requirements is another. Having the capital to purchase the necessary equipment and plants and then fund the ongoing power, water, staff and fertilizer demands is a third. According to Dave Gardner, consulting firm Colorado Cannabis Systems’ Senior Horticulturist, it can cost $700 to $750 in electricity alone to produce one pound of marijuana. And that is a conservative estimate.

And that’s not all. Where traditional businesses can effectively get off the ground with a bank loan, cannabis companies are denied services by most major U.S. banks because, at the federal level, cannabis is still an illegal substance. The consequence of this barrier (the exorbitant costs and the lack of bank services) is that budding medical marijuana grow operations are left crippled by a lack of capital before they can even compete in the market.

Fusion Properties Management Group,a REIT Offering Solutions

Real estate professional Kendell Lang, with his extensive background in the life sciences and controlled environment agriculture real estate, saw a dire need for a solution.

“With an excessive demand for capital being inherent to the medical marijuana grow industry, few MMJ businesses can truly afford to have their funds tied up in real estate. My solution was to create a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) that would buy the land and facilities owned by these companies and lease it back to them at affordable rates,” explains real estate expert Kendell Lang. “This will free up millions of dollars in capital that can be used to fuel the grow operation and its expansion.”

And so Kendell Lang founded Fusion Properties Management Group, through which state-licensed medical marijuana grow operations can gain access to single purpose real estate, establish sale-leaseback agreements and get the capital they need to build grow facilities or upgrade existing structures. Real estate, however, is only one facet of what Fusion Properties does. It also functions as a construction materials manufacturing company with access to proprietary technology that allows them to build turnkey facilities with operating costs that are up to 50% lower than conventional construction.

“We really provide a comprehensive set of services for grow facilities,” says Kendell Lang. “We strive to establish and maintain the largest nationwide portfolio of single purpose real estate specifically for the cultivation of medical marijuana. Through our services, MMJ businesses can purchase real estate, sell real estate with a leaseback agreement in place, build state-of-the-art facilities or upgrade existing ones. Fusion Properties caters quite comprehensively to the industry’s needs with our real estate and construction services.”

Or at least that’s the opinion of Kendell Lang, an experienced brand manager and social media speaker. Kendell has worked in the domains of digital marketing and software development since their conception and what he sees in today’s marketing trends is that social media plays a pivotal role to business success.

Establishing a Two-Way Communication With Your Audience

“No amount of print advertising or expensive television ads can rival the reach, the market infiltration and the value of social media marketing,” says Kendell Lang. “With traditional advertising, you’re establishing a one-way communication with your audience, which isn’t really a conversation at all. With social media, you’re establishing a two-way communication and this holds incredible value for both you and your customers.”

Brand manager Kendell Lang views social media as an indispensible tool that benefits both the marketer (the business) and the audience (the customers). On the one hand, companies can benefit from this virtually free marketing avenue that has the potential to reach a vast audience without geographical limit. It also enables businesses to target their brand messaging to appeal to specific demographics, thereby saving time and money on appealing to people who wouldn’t be interested in their products and services in the first place.

But the communication goes both ways and customers also reap the rewards of using social media to find out more about the businesses, brands, products and services they’re interested in.

“People turn to social media for recommendations. They turn to sites like Yelp, Trip Advisor, Amazon, Foursquare, Yellowpages and other directory sites for other consumer’s opinions and reviews of the brands they’re considering,” explains social media speaker, Kendell Lang. “They’re also leaving reviews, and this is the most valuable source of feedback a business can get. Paying attention to what your customers are saying about you, even if it’s not always good, allows you to perfect your brand messaging and your products and services.”

The Power To Give Celebrity Status, Sometimes Overnight

Given the reach, the vast audiences and the number of social media sites out there in the virtual ether, using this medium as a tool for marketing truly holds manifold benefits for modern businesses of all size and within all industries. It has the potential – without spending thousands of dollars on expensive advertising campaigns – to give individuals and businesses celebrity status, in some cases, virtually overnight!

“Just look at the burgeoning medical marijuana industry,” says brand manager Kendell Lang, Fusion Media Marketing. “The number of businesses, dispensaries and grow operations are proliferating at lightning speed... faster than any other industry has for a very long time. In this sea of competition, the most visible and therefore most successful businesses are those that have leveraged the power of social media. They have done this to help them stand out, appeal to their target audience and establish a brand name and identity, just like Levi has for jeans and Starbucks for coffee.”

Looking at how much we all use social media on a daily basis, it’s easy to appreciate how it can be used to create a strong brand, whether that brand is a service, product or person. A powerful social media strategy is crucial to the success of the modern business; brand manager Kendell Lang can show you how to unlock this invaluable vault today...

But here’s the real shocker... According to Bloomberg Markets, medical marijuana is projected to be worth $50 billion in 2026! The moral of this story is that medical marijuana industry is huge and the playing field is ripe for bold entrepreneurs. Or at least this is what Kendell Lang believes, a real estate expert from Del Mar, California.

Why would a real estate expert care about medical marijuana?

As it turns out, Kendell Lang has forged a REIT called Fusion Properties Management Group that provides single purpose real estate and fully kitted out grow facilities for state-licensed medical cannabis growers. Kendell Lang, a true entrepreneur, has also spent decades working in digital marketing and has fused his passion for the life sciences (he has a degree in Biology), real estate and marketing to provide marijuana businesses with the ultimate tailored solutions to get their operations off the ground and on a course to stratospheric success!

“Marijuana-related businesses, just like any other business, need to focus a healthy portion of their time and capital on marketing and particularly social media marketing,” explains Kendell Lang. “However, given the plethora of advertising restrictions that have been put in place by state law-makers, it can prove tricky to craft a strategic marketing plan. You’ve got to proceed with the utmost caution and yet, with the increasing amount of competition blooming across the industry, you’ve also got to establish a powerful brand identity. You’ve got to saturate the market with your messaging if you’re to be establish yourself as the go-to brand for medical marijuana.”

How can a marijuana-related business market itself at a time when it’s still considered a Schedule 1 drug that needs to stay well out of eyesight and earshot of minors?

“It’s a tricky conundrum for marijuana businesses to figure out,” explains social media expert Kendell Lang. “Without industry-specific experience and without an intimate knowledge of the laws surrounding the marketing aspect, medical marijuana businesses risk hitting dead-end after dead-end in the labyrinth of advertising restrictions. That’s if they manage to stay in the law-makers’ good books! These difficulties are why we [Fusion Properties] offer all of our medical marijuana tenants a thorough marketing education and all the assistance they need to get their brand name visible to search engines and trending on social media. This is an additional service we offer through Fusion Properties because we know that our success lies in our tenant’s success.”

The budding medical marijuana (MMJ) industry may carry huge potential for revenue, but it’s also demanding on capital and this is because controlled environment agriculture isn’t cheap! Demands on electricity, water and fertilizer are steep and the cost of equipment, staff, security and facilities, as well as the maintenance thereof, all cost a pretty penny. The consequences of this is that if you start without the necessary capital, you could find your grow operation in dire straits before you’ve even harvested your first crop of cannabis.

MMJ growers have extraordinarily unique real estate and capital requirements that commercial real estate professionals are mostly unable or unwilling to cater to. A grow operation needs land, they need specialized facilities equipped with energy-intensive lighting, irrigation systems, security and all kinds of expensive high tech and/or farming equipment. This is where real estate professional Kendell Lang offers to step in with his Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), Fusion Properties Management Group, which doesn’t only provide single purpose real estate to state-licensed MMJ businesses, but also sales/leaseback agreements that can give these businesses the capital they need to grow.

“You need to be extremely familiar with the life sciences and with controlled environment agriculture to understand and anticipate the needs of MMJ grow operations,” explains Kendell Lang. “And then you need the capital to be able to give these MMJ businesses what they need. Here at Fusion Properties we do all of this. We can provide real estate with customized, turnkey growing facilities that meet the needs of the individual grower. We can buy a company’s property and lease it back to them, thereby freeing up the precious capital they could be using to fund the grow operation. We also supply proprietary construction materials that can undercut traditional costs by up to 50%.

“We listen carefully to our prospective tenant’s needs, we then sit down with them and plan a strategic course of action that caters explicitly to these needs and we make it happen,” says real estate professional Kendell Lang.

Lang also has an extensive history as a social media keynote speaker and with his experience in digital marketing, he gladly offers a hand to tenants to really help their business grow and prosper. “In this highly competitive industry, MMJ growers need to establish a brand and make that brand synonymous with quality, just as Levi’s have done for jeans and Coca Cola for soft drinks,” explains Kendell Lang. “A strategic digital marketing plan that leverages the power of social media can achieve this. Moreover, it can mean the difference between success and failure.”

Fusion Properties may specialize in single purpose real estate, construction and tenant improvements, but Kendell Lang, as a social media keynote speaker, knows how to help clients achieve massive success through online marketing and he extends this additional service to tenants of Fusion.

Sites like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest used to be a way to connect and share media with friends and family, but now they’re also fundamental portals through which businesses can promote themselves and cultivate positive relationships with customers. Getting started with social media, however, can prove tricky, especially for businesses without any experience in digital marketing. Without a foolproof and tailored strategy, a trial-and-error approach to social media marketing can become time-consuming, expensive and bear little fruit.

This is where a professional social media keynote speaker like Kendell Lang can be of tremendous value, especially for budding medical marijuana (MMJ) businesses and operators...

Specialized Social Media Strategy for MMJ Operators

With decades’ worth of experience in digital marketing and, with a finger firmly on the pulse of social media, Kendell deeply understands the importance of this marketing avenue. Furthermore, with his education, background and current business in the life sciences and particularly controlled environment agriculture, Kendell Lang has a lot to say to budding MMJ operators, growers, manufacturers and distributers on how to rise above a very challenging market that’s simply bursting with competitors.

“Medical marijuana businesses operate within a rapidly expanding industry with incredible opportunities,” says Kendell Lang, social media keynote speaker. “However, with all this potential comes steep competition. This is not even to mention the incredible challenges the average MMJ business faces, which is why MMJ operators need to get on board with social media marketing and establish themselves as a powerful brand with the best products.”

A MMJ Real Estate Company That Helps Its Tenants Succeed

Kendell Lang is not only a social media keynote speaker, he is also the founder and CEO of a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) called Fusion Properties Management Group that provides high quality real estate and specialized MMJ facilities to state-licensed cannabis tenants. “We don’t just aim to provide marijuana-related businesses with the real estate and facilities they need, Fusion also wants to teach our tenants to be the best marketers they can be so that they can have the highest sales, best brands and largest market share,” explains social media keynote speaker, Kendell Lang.

What are the important aspects budding MMJ business should pay attention to with their marketing? Kendell Lang provides a few tips...

Listen to and Interact with your Audience: “Social media is about two-way communication with your audience. Engage them, respond to them, even if their message or comment is bad,” says Kendell. “Don’t only use social media as a way to disseminate information. Make your audience like you by presenting the personality behind the brand.”

Build a Focused Social Media Strategy Based on Quality: “Your social media marketing strategy should be highly goal-orientated and focused,” says social media keynote speaker, Kendell Lang. “The minute you lose focus is the minute you start wasting dollars and time. Also, quality outplays quantity in the arena of social media. All the content you post should be high quality, engaging and sharable.”

Determine Important Industry Influencers: “You can piggyback your exposure onto the popularity of major industry players, which we call ‘social media influencers’. Spend a little time finding the online influencers in your market, people whose names are known throughout the industry and who have major audiences on social media. By mentioning these names in your content and linking to their sites, you’re more likely to catch their attention and possibly even build a relationship with them.”

Be Consistent and Accessible: “Establish a content publishing calendar to ensure that you post regularly and remain visible and front-of-mind with your audience,” explains social media keynote speaker, Kendell Lang. “If your brand cannot be easily found by your market, you’ll simply make way for your competitors. Be visible, post regularly, respond to comments and establish a conversation with your market.”

In Conclusion

All businesses, but especially MMJ businesses need to embrace social media marketing if they’re to secure themselves a lion’s share of the market. There are bountiful opportunities available in this budding industry but only smart social media strategy will enable businesses to overcome the challenges and enjoy incredible success.

A strategic social media marketing plan is fundamental in building a phenomenal online presence. If you do it right you can go from a “nobody” to a social media sensation and celebrity, literally overnight. The same can be said for businesses of all sizes and within all industries. “A smart social media marketing strategy has the power to distinguish you from your steepest competition, even if you’re a small start-up business,” says Kendell Lang, a social media expert and keynote speaker from Del Mar, California.

And that’s the bottom line, really: businesses that use social media intelligently can drive more traffic to their websites and see more sales in a shorter period of time than traditional advertising. “If you’re not leveraging the power of social media, you’re getting left behind,” says Kendell Lang, who reveals a few of his trade secrets here...

Trade Secrets From a Social Media Keynote Speaker

In this incredible connected world, businesses are using the plethora of social media platforms to engage with past, present and prospective customers, reinforce their brand messaging, influence customer opinions and provide customers with better, more efficient service, amongst others. These outcomes are tantalizing but designing a strategic social media marketing plan that can deliver these outcomes isn’t a one-size-fits-all effort.

This is why experience in the realm of social media and marketing is crucial. It’s also why experienced social media experts like Kendell Lang are coveted by businesses wanting to take the leap into the social era of digital marketing. We asked Kendell what he finds to be the keys to success in social media marketing...

Identify Your Social Media Marketing Goals & Target Audience

“You’ve got to identify your goals. You can only design the perfect social media strategy with a high return on investment if you truly understand the goals you’re trying to achieve. Of course, the ultimate goal is to increase revenue, but you need to define shorter-term, achievable goals that will become the milestones that guide you towards that ultimate success. For example, increase Facebook followers to 50,000.

“Another key to success is to really identify and define your target audience. Reduce everything you know about them to an archetype personality or set of archetypes. Who are they? You’ve got to understand who your customers are so that your social media marketing will speak to them,” says social media expert Kendell Lang.

Start The Conversation & See What Your Competitors are Doing

“Businesses and brands that use social media as a two-way communication medium tend to have far more success,” says Kendell Lang. “Reply to messages and comments, answer questions and acknowledge feedback, both bad and good. If you don’t have time, hire a social media administrator. Your audience wants to see the humanity behind the brand and if you come across as personable and helpful, you’ll have them hooked for life.”

Another extremely useful tip is to refer to your competition’s social media efforts for guidance. “Don’t be afraid to look at what your successful competitors are doing, their Facebook page, its presentation, the content on it and how your competitors engage with their fans and followers,” says social media expert Kendell Lang. “Why learn from your own mistakes when you can learn from your competitors’ success?”

Businesses that incorporate the best practices in their social media strategy can benefit enormously, seeing measurable increases in brand awareness, lead conversion, brand advocacy, customer satisfaction and ultimately, revenue!

Michael Brown, who walked up to the counter at a store, took some items without paying for them, and then grabbed the store clerk by the neck and shoved him into a display case. And then he sought an altercation with a cop. In the course of that second altercation, he tried to grab the officer’s gun. And now he’s dead. That’s what happens when you assault a cop and try to take his gun. You get shot. This is no great mystery. It’s no cause for rioting in the streets. It’s a case where A + B = C, and Michael Brown is fully responsible. Michael Brown, who picked a fight and lost. Michael Brown, the maybe not-so-gentle giant who brought his bloody fate upon himself.

Okay...so as I watch at a distance the protestors in Ferguson and around the country, I find it interesting to also see all manner of other agitators, race baiters, looters, rioters, media sensationalists, and everyone else in the Michael Brown Fan Club across the nation and the world, so here's my question:

Since Justice has been served, what are you protesting now?

Get your dictionary out folks...look up the definition of justice and determine for yourself whether justice was done, my friends, in my opinion...justice was done.

There won’t be a public trial because this is America, and in America we don’t put people on trial just to satisfy the vengeance of the mob. We don’t bring someone up on charges if the facts do not support those charges.

So Officer Wilson was not indicted. The facts reigned supreme last night. Well, first the facts, and then the arson.

Officer Wilson was not indicted because the physical evidence, forensics, and ballistics all supported his story. Officer Wilson was vindicated because the most consistent witnesses were the ones who validated his version of events (and most of those witnesses were black).

That’s the truth. That’s the reality. It’s rock solid, folks. Plain as day. Michael Brown was not a civil rights hero; he was a belligerent and violent young man who lost his life because of his own actions. It is sad that he’s dead and I grieve for his parents who have lost a son — and it’s sad to say, but it's his own damn fault that he’s dead.

Why is it so hard for people to accept that Michael Brown is responsible and he's not worthy of being held up as a civil rights icon, but if this is left up to racemailers (I'd say blackmailers, but then I'd be accused of being racist) like Al Sharpton this criminal will become some poster child to be used and abused for the continuation of their saga of persecution and he will be posthumously canonized by a mob of ill-intentioned propagandists.

This decision is not what supports the desired narrative, I realize, but that’s only because Al Sharpton and his likes never wanted justice at all. They wanted a certain outcome, and they have demanded that outcome from the very beginning, before listening to the other side, before looking at the evidence, before hearing from all of the witnesses, before giving the dust a chance to settle. He and his media cohorts came to a conclusion based on rumor and conjecture, and he has not strayed from that conclusion or adjusted it or even acknowledged that any other conclusions are possible. This, my fellow citizens, is not the behavior of people who want justice and fairness. This is the behavior of a lynch mob. This is the behavior of tyrants who are perfectly willing to send an innocent man to jail if it means winning some kind of bizarre ideological victory. This is behavior that ought to be exposed and shamed, in no uncertain terms.

Frankly, I don’t think it matters how you are protesting. Whether you’re on the streets of Ferguson or spreading conjecture and false accusations on Twitter, whether you’re a peaceful group or a band of vandalizing thugs — let’s talk instead about the fact that you are protesting in the first place. Are these demonstrations violent? Some definitely are, but that’s not the point. The greater concern is that you’re being dishonest. You are lying. You brazenly disregard every piece of evidence, every witness statement, and the grand jury’s determination in order to propagate a falsehood. You say you want to know what happened, but you preemptively reject any explanation beyond the explanation you conjured up within 24 hours of the event itself. You, along with many politicians and media members, made up your minds three months ago, and you have not allowed any preceding fact or reality to penetrate. You established your narrative and have built your movement upon that foundation. ‘We want justice,’ you declare, but not a single one of you will consider the possibility that justice includes Officer Wilson being cleared of all wrongdoing, even after the science and most reliable firsthand accounts conflict with your mythology.

This is beyond a mere misinterpretation. This is blatant deception, and your black leadership is all complicit in it. Shame on you for not standing up and calling on Michael Brown to be held responsible for his own actions.

But still, justice won the day, in spite of the likes of Al Sharpton and in spite of every attempt to sabotage the process. Officer Wilson will not be charged with murder because he is not a murderer. Incredibly, the system worked. The truth prevailed. These grand jurors were facing interference from the Governor, the Attorney General, and the President of the United States. They were made to fear for their lives and for the safety of their community if they returned anything but a murder charge. The integrity of the process had been compromised by Sharpton and his thug supporters, yet the jurors decided to consider only the evidence, rejecting the threats, the blackmail, and the baseless assumptions of so many.

Look, protestors, if you’re not ready to go home, if you still want to protest something, why not protest the culture that encourages young black men to act like Michael Brown? Why not protest the thousands of black men who kill black men every year? Why not protest the black men who kill cops every year, or have you convinced yourselves that such violence is always justified? Why not protest the black men who abandon their families and create the chaotic family situations that lead to these tragedies? Why not protest the black rappers who actively teach young men like Michael Brown to behave like bullies and gangsters? Why not protest the infantilizing white liberals who treat minorities like children who can’t be expected to take responsibility for their actions? Why not protest years of Nanny State policies which have bred poverty and kept many minority populations from achieving the success of which they are capable?

Why not protest the media that feeds flames and obscures the truth?

Why not protest a president who has done nothing positive or constructive for the black community?

Or go home and tend to your families. Teach your children that there's a different and better way to live than being a puppet victim. Teach your children to be critical thinkers, good decision-makers and contributors to society. Teach your children to be faucets and not drains.Fusion Farmshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07933427789520092884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1769871335743353227.post-37012244850880105812014-05-09T08:18:00.001-07:002014-05-09T08:18:23.020-07:00Teen Dating MechanicTeen Dating Mechanic, Lisa Jander wrote an excellent article on ModernSage.com, worth a read!Fusion Farmshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07933427789520092884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1769871335743353227.post-31562264320033851852014-01-25T20:01:00.002-08:002014-01-25T20:01:39.732-08:00Kendell Lang: Social Media Keynote Speaker
Social Media Keynote Speaker

Meet Kendell Lang: Social Media Keynote Speaker

Social Media Keynote Speaker, Kendell Lang

Are you looking for an energetic, passionate and knowledgeable social media keynote speaker to demystify the realm of social media marketing? line-height: 1.6em;">In school they studied English, history, math, and science which enabled them to lead America into the technological age. Most of them remember what outhouses were, many of them with firsthand experience.

They remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to their homes. For those of you who don"t know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, they lived those days.

They are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing them off. They won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam. They can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and they know where to place their hand while doing so. They wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. They didn"t fight for the Socialist States of America; they fought for the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave."

They wore different uniforms but carried the same flag. They know the words to the Star Spangled Banner, America, and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even seen some tears running down their cheeks as they sang. They have lived what many of you have only read in history books and they feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America.

Yes, they are old and slow these days but rest assured, they have at least one good fight left in them. They have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now they are going to have to save it, one more time. It is their country and nobody is going to take it away from them. They took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath they plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we all love but, like our founders, there is no way they are going to remain silent.

It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the "Hope and Change" which in reality was nothing but "Hype and Lies."

You have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found you don"t like it after all. You make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or "Climbing the Social Ladder" to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the "Great Lie" in 2008 are now having buyer"s remorse. With all the education the Greatest Generation gave you, you didn"t have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the "Kool-Aid." Now you"re paying the price and complaining about it. No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom.

This is what you voted for and this is what you got. The Greatest Generation entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty and you traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.

Well, don"t worry youngsters, the Greatest Generation is here to be great once again, and in 2014 they are going to take back our nation. They may drive a little slower than you would like but they get where they"re going, and in 2014 they"re going to the polls by the millions.

This land does not belong to the man in the White House nor to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It belongs to "We the People" and "We the People" plan to reclaim our land and our freedom. I can only imagine that the Greatest Generation hopes this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it along to their grandchildren. So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, Stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor our country, and thank God for the old geezers of the "Greatest Generation."

Greatest Generation is going to have to be the greatest, again!Fusion Farmshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07933427789520092884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1769871335743353227.post-88564707642107332632013-10-18T20:21:00.005-07:002013-10-18T20:21:49.802-07:00Pinterest for Politics 101
Protection of civil liberties and civil rights is perhaps the most fundamental political value in American society. That is what I believe will UNITE us all in the future (sooner than many of you might believe given the speed at which all of our Civil Rights are being violated) and why I believe the Founding Fathers codified them in the Bill of Rights. And yet, as former Justice Frankfurter explained in the quote above, the people who test liberties and rights in our courts are not always ideal citizens.

What is the difference between a liberty and a right? Both words appear in the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. The distinction between the two has always been blurred, and today the concepts are often used interchangeably, especially when words and definitions are so easily changed to suit political agendas. However, they do refer to different kinds of guaranteed protections for ALL OF US. Again, this is not left or right, Republican or Democratic, so this is something about which all of us should be able to come together and agree around the importance of protecting Civil Rights. If I lose my Civil Right to profess my Christian faith, are you then ready to lose your Civil Right to profess your belief in same sex marriage?

Civil liberties are protections AGAINST government actions. For example, the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights guarantees citizens the right to practice whatever religion they please. Government, then, cannot interfere in an individual"s freedom of worship. Amendment I gives the individual "liberty" from the actions of the government to prevent ANYONE from practicing ANY religion, whether I vehemently disagree with them or not, like the Westboro Baptist Church. Regardless of whether I personally find their ideology reprehensible, I have to agree to defend their right to practice their religion (within the law) and I expect the same liberty in reverse.

Civil rights, in contrast, refer to positive actions of government should TAKE to create EQUAL conditions for ALL Americans. The term "civil rights" is often mistakenly associated with the protection of minority groups, such as African Americans, Hispanics, and women, but the language of equality for all is an important condition. The government counterbalances the "majority rule" tendency in a democracy that often finds minorities outvoted.

The overwhelming majority of court decisions that define American civil liberties are based on the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments added to the Constitution in 1791. Civil liberties protected in the Bill of Rights may be divided into two broad areas: freedoms and rights guaranteed in the First Amendment (religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition) and liberties and rights associated with crime and due process. Civil rights are also protected by the Fourteenth Amendment, which protects violation of rights and liberties by the state governments.

Protection of civil liberties and civil rights is basic to American political values, but the process is far from easy. Protecting one person"s right can potentially involve violating those of another. How far should the government go to take "positive action" to protect minorities? The answers often come from individuals who brush most closely with the law, whose cases help to continually redefine American civil liberties and rights.

For most hard working Americans, we"ve been out there focused on our job, building our businesses, raising our kids, being involved in our communities and generally believing that the Constitution and Bill of Rights were safe and secure. We are waking up to a very different reality, and this is what unites us towards a common cause. Some of us this awakening came long ago, some within just the past few weeks because of the myriad scandals and revelations about things which just months ago were unthinkable and rejected as conspiracy theory.

Again, this isn"t a Party issue because Former National Security Agency analyst Russ Tice, a Bush-era whistle-blower, recently made startling claims that the federal government’s wiretap endeavors targeted high-ranking government officials, including military officials, lawmakers and diplomats including President Obama.

What I find most interesting right now is the somewhat parallel legal claims being pursued by the Electronic Frontier Foundation and their request for the release of a classified ruling in which the court found that the government had engaged in unconstitutional surveillance of Americans and the ACLU who filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the U.S. government surveillance program that collects the telephone records of millions of Americans from U.S. telecommunications companies.

Do you believe your Civil Rights are being violated by the government surveilling your personal phone records, emails or any other communication without any connection or claim of involvement with a terrorist organization or any wrongdoing whatsoever?
